Scholarships & Financial Aid
Director: Ms. Martha Dion

Like all programs at St. Rita of Cascia High School, our Scholarships & Financial Aid Program is guided by the Augustinian Core Values of Veritas, Unitas, and Caritas--Truth, Unity, and Love.  We believe that the experience of an excellent Catholic Augustinian Education should be made available to as many young men as possible throughout the Chicagoland area.  Through the generosity of our alumni and benefactors, we are able to extend the Academic Scholarships, Unitas Service & Involvement Awards, Legacy Scholarships and the Financial Aid Packages

Academic Scholarships

  • St. Rita is a Catholic school—a center of learning within the context of Christianity, a journey ever closer toward ultimate truth, respect for one another and all of God's creation.

  • Academic Scholarships are awarded on the basis of the results of the January 12th St. Rita Entrance Examination.

  • Students with the top 2 scores are each awarded a $2,500 Academic Scholarship.
This scholarship is renewable each year, provided renewal standards are met, for a total value of $10,000.

  • Students who score in the 95th percentile or above are awarded a $1,250 Academic Scholarship.
This scholarship is renewable each year, provided renewal standards are met, for a total value of $5,000.

  • Students who score in the 88th to 94th percentile are awarded a $1,000 non-renewable Academic Scholarship for their Freshmen year.

Unitas Service & Involvement Awards
(Formerly Known as the Cascian Award)

  • Whether it is the single-mindedness of common academic endeavor, the unity of our school family, or the shared identity of being a Ritaman for life, the call to community is insistent and demanding.  St. Rita is a place where young men form friendships and develop values that last a life time.

  • Applications for the Unitas Service and Involvement Awards are available at registration.  Amounts of the Unitas Service & Involvement Award vary based on a young man's academic achievement, behavior, attendance, extracurricular involvement, and service to school and community.

  • Students must maintain passing grades; failures or multiple "D" grades may eliminate them from program participation.

  • Freshman class applicants are required to have taken our entrance exam.
