Early Fall is a beautiful time on St. Rita High School’s campus at 7740 S. Western Avenue. The morning of Wednesday, September 26 was no different. Despite seasonably cool temperatures and overcast skies, the campus seemed aglow with the spirit of community and family as hundreds of grandparents packed the St. Rita of Cascia Shrine Chapel for St. Rita’s annual Grandparents' and Special Persons' Mass.

Head of School, Fr. Paul Galetto, O.S.A., Augustinian Vocation Director Fr. Tom McCarthy, O.S.A. '83, and Director of Augustinian Mission Fr. Richie Mercado, O.S.A. were the concelebrants of the Mass.

Following Mass, and a group picture, grandparents and their Ritamen grandsons were treated to donuts and coffee in the St. Rita Dining Hall. An overflowing crowd also enjoyed seating space in the adjacent McCarthy Center.
