St. Rita defeats Br. Rice at Home in Front of Packed House!

basketballSt. Rita defeats Br. Rice in front of a standing-room-only crowd at St. Rita High School's gym at 7740 S. Western on Friday, January 16, 2015. Charles Matthews led the way with 26 points.

This was the national-ranked Mustangs sixth win in a row.  They continue their quest for a state championship next when the travel to Augustinian rival Providence Catholic on Tuesday, January 20.

St. Rita Make-Up Entrance Exam - January 17

Entrance Exam adOn Saturday, January 17 2015 at 8:00 a.m. St. Rita High School (7740 S. Western) will host a make-up exam for students how missed last week's entrance exam.  This exam is for eighth-grade students who have not taken the entrance exam at any Catholic high school. Please leave calculators at home; and bring two #2 pencils and a $25 testing fee.

Remember to get a good-night's sleep, eat a healthy breakfast and relax!

There is no pre-registration for the test.

All testers must bring a $25 testing fee and two #2 pencils. No calculators are allowed.

All Catholic High Schools administer their entrance exam on the same day and students should test at the high school they plan to attend.

The test that St. Rita uses is the HSPT (High School Placement Test).  For more information about the HSPT, click here.

Those students who have a written IEP, ICEP or 504 plan may be given additional test time with prior approval.  Please contact Director of Admissions, Ed Leiser, 773.925.RITA.

St. Rita High School Hosts Archbishop Cupich's Welcome Mass!

augustiniansExteme temperatures, snow and blustery wind couldn't put a damper on Archbishop Blase Cupich's  Vicariate V Welcome Mass at St. Rita Shrine Chapel on Thursday evening, January 8, 2015. The event was a wonderful celebration of fellowship that exists in our Archdiocese.

Many Augustinian Friars were on hand to personally welcome our new Archbishop to Vicariate V.

St. Rita Mothers' Club Meeting Rescheduled for January 15

Attention St. Rita Mothers' Club Members: The next meeting is rescheduled for January 15 at 7:00 p.m. due to a scheduling conflict.  We have been blessed to host Archbishop Blase Cupich's Welcome Mass for Vicariate V on January 8, thus the rescheduling of the meeting to January 15.  Sorry for the inconvenience, look forward to seeing everyone next week!  Thank you.

St. Rita Basketball Makes History on ESPN2!

The No. 5-rankedSt. Rita Mustangs basketball team made school history on Friday, December 19, 2014 by becoming the first St. Rita team to appear on any ESPN network.  The Mustangs also became the first St. Rita team to win on ESPN by defeating No. 2-ranked Simeon 51-46.

A large crowd watched the matchup at Moraine Valley Community College between powerhouses St. Rita and Simeon.

St. Rita was led by Kentucky recruit Charles Mattews (17 points), Tulane recruit Kain Harris (5 three-pointers) and Tennessee State recruit Armani Chaney (10 points).

St. Rita is participating in the Proviso West Holiday Tourney Dec 22-27.  Several games can be seen on High School Cube.

Caritas 2015 Valentine Dinner Dance - Contribution Information

Caritas - 26th Annual Valentine Dinner Dance is on Saturday, February 7th, 2015. We'd love to see you there! If you can't make it, consider a contribution or live and silent auction gifts.
