2013-2014 Giving Tree

DSC_5432The Giving Tree was started 4 years ago, because the Activities Team wanted to find a way to help our own families. We give so often, and so freely to so many other charities that deserve our attention and our generosity. But the Giving Tree, is our way to help our own. You may not know it, but you may be sitting next to someone who really needs your support. You may not know it, but someone sitting next to you could be hungry, or could be tired because he’s trying to work a job to help make ends meet for his family. You just never know what is going on with those around you – but this is your time

to help and to be there for your Rita Brothers.

As of today, Thursday, we have collected $1,399.53 for the Giving Tree. While that is wonderful and generous, our goal is to reach at least $3500 by tomorrow. This comes out to a $5 per man donation. $5 per man will ensure that 5 of our St. Rita Families have a much needed and deserved happy Christmas. Last year, our school raised $7500 for the Giving Tree. The year before, we raised $8100. We know that you will stand up to that tradition of giving, and do your best to give in support of your Rita Brothers.

Yes it is a lot, especially at this time of the year – but remember that you are giving to help your own – so that a fellow Rita Brother will have a Merry Christmas. We would also encourage any adults that are a part of our community to do what they can to help out to this worthy cause. Thank you.
