Rita-Carmel Voted Best Rivarly in State, Now Vote for National Award!

Last week the St. Rita vs. Mt. Carmel rivalry was nominated for one of the top rivalries in the state of Illinois. The vote has been tallied at Mustangs vs. Caravan have won the state crown. Now this rivalry will go up against all the other rivalries in the Midwest that won their state and the winner of each region will go to a national competition. Three rivalries had been chosen for each state and Washington D.C., with fans voting in the state round for two weeks. The state voting closed on Monday and the regional round will open at 11 a.m. EST Wednesday, Dec.5.  The regional round ends Dec. 12, with the four winners advancing to the national round. The winner of the national round will be named the nation's top high school football rivalry at 11 a.m. EST on Dec. 19. The national winner will receive $10,000 - to be split evenly between the two schools.
