St. Rita junior Tommy Magnavite always has had a knack for generating offense.
Much of his success can be attributed to his speed.
This season, though, it's an improved shot that has allowed him to rise among the leaders for points in the Catholic League.
"All it is is practice," said Magnavite, a 5-foot-7, 145-pound forward. "Playing pickup hockey and shooting pucks in the garage. I've worked on my accuracy, shooting harder and getting the puck on the net more often. I definitely feel more confident with the puck."
Mustangs coach Brian Coleman has noticed the improvement.
