Bob Kellam '92 and Tim McCarthy '85, St. Rita High School soccer coaches, first discussed the idea nearly five years ago.

It seemed far-fetched, but the idea to have a locker room specifically for the soccer teams started to gather steam.

St. Rita Soccer Starts CCL Play With A Victory!

On Thursday, September 10, 2015 St. Rita Mustangs Varsity Soccer Team opened Chicago Catholic League play at Doyle Stadium with 3-2 win over Bishop McNamara powered by Noel Mascorro's (pictured to the left) two goals!

The next home game for the Kicking Mustangs is Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at 6:30 p.m.  Come out to Doyle Stadium to support the Mustangs as they take on De La Salle.

Thursday, September 10 was also grade school soccer night at Doyle Stadium. Despite the threat of rain, there was a good turnout of local soccer players in attendance for the Mustangs win, including these athletes (pictured to the right) from the St. Cajetan Warriors Varsity Soccer Team.

Mustangs Soccer Rolls Past Richards with Last Second Goal By Senior Aidan Mitchell

The Mustangs took a first half lead against Richards on September 2 with a goal by sophomore Luke Notorangelo assisted by Junior Jack Wojcicki.

The Mustangs continued to dominate the game into the second half but failed to convert on numerous opportunities which left the door open. WIth four minutes remaining the Bulldogs equalized. The Mustangs continued to apply pressure looking for the game winner and with 7.4 seconds left in the game senior Aidan Mitchell struck a bullet that beat the keeper for the win!
