St. Rita Students Attend African-American Heritage Prayer Service

On Friday February 23rd, twenty-seven St. Rita students attended the African-American Heritage Prayer Service at Holy Name Cathedral.  The students were led by St. Rita faculty members Mr. Andy McIntosh and Mr. Matt Petrich.

It was the 40th annual event with St. Rita students taking part the past several years.  This service is an annual event to celebrate the culture, history, and heritage of African-Americans in our Catholic schools, parishes and throughout the Archdiocese. The service includes prayers and songs, and is attended by hundreds of students, teachers, and supporters.

St. Rita seniors Xavier Alexander and Malcolm Banks were featured speakers at the event.
