Annual Food Drive Brings in More Than 4,000 Items to Help the Needy

St. Rita of Cascia High School’s Student Government ran another very successful Thanksgiving Food Drive.  In the week leading up to Thanksgiving Day, collections taken from the student body, faculty, and staff of St. Rita brought in over 4,000 non-perishable items.

After sorting and packing the donations, the Senior Class Officers delivered donations to Casa Catalina, a Basic Human Needs Center of the Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago.  Angel’s Touch, another non-profit organization that is run by St. Rita staff member Pat Mitchell also benefited from the donations.
