Jasica Art Competition Open to Submissions



The Jasica Art Competition is an annual scholarship competition honoring Joseph J. Jasica'53. Each year, the family generously donates the award and is active in the final determination of the winners.  Two Scholarships are awarded with each of the winning students receiving a $500 discount on their tuition for the 2013-2014 academic year.

Subject Matter at the Artist's Discretion.  Suggested topics include the history of St. Rita High School or the lives of St. Rita, St. Monica, St. Augustine, and Our Mother of Good Counsel.

Finished pieces can be completed in any of the following two-dimensional mediums: watercolor, oils, acrylics, mixed media (colored pencil plus water colors, pastes and pencils), pencils, photography.

Submissions need to be no smaller than 16x20 inches and no larger than 18x24 inches.

Contest rules:  All submitted work must be original.  All materials are the artists responsibility.  When presented for consideration, the piece must be in its finished form and ready for framing.  A short piece must accompany your work detailing an explanation of your piece.

Please remember to carefully transport your piece so that tears, wrinkles, and smudges do not occur.   Use good materials so that your work will with the stand the test of time.  Winning entries will become the property of St. Rita of Casica High School as part of the School's permanent collection.
