St. Rita High School Basketball had the opportunity to tour the White House on a trip to Washington D.C., recently. The Mustangs played in the Gonzaga D.C. Classic basketball tournament and did some sightseeing in their downtime. Coach Gary DeCesare said, "Traveling to DC was a great opportunity for our team. It was a great learning experience on and off the court. Our team got a chance to tour the White House, see the Lincoln, Jefferson and Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorials and had an unbelivable experience at the Holocaust Museum. Also, we were able to practice at Georgetown University and saw them play a Home game in the Verizon Center. Traveling out of state gives us an opportunity to see and play against different teams from other states and gives us a chance to bond as a team. This will be a trip that these kids will remember for the rest of their lives."
