Campus Ministry

The mission of St. Rita’s Campus Ministry Center is to build a strong, healthy, Christian community based upon Catholic ideals of the Gospel and the Order of St. Augustine. Campus Ministry helps each young Ritaman recognize and develop his own unique gifts and talents to their fullest potential. The student body is a faith community that seeks to grow in love of God and neighbor.

Order of Christian Initiation for Adults

Our Campus Ministry Team provides a special faith formation program for students preparing to receive the Sacraments of Initiation including Baptism, First Communion, and Confirmation. Throughout the school year, participants meet weekly to deepen their relationship with God, learn about the richness of the Catholic faith, and reflect on the meaning of the sacraments in their lives. The journey concludes in a joyful All-School Mass, where our St. Rita Family comes together to celebrate these students as they become full members of the Catholic Church.

  • Baptism is the first Sacrament of Initiation signifying a spiritual rebirth, cleansing individuals from original sin and welcoming them into the Church community.

  • First Communion is the first time a baptized Catholic receives the Eucharist, which is the Body and Blood of Christ, uniting us closer to Jesus.

  • Confirmation is the final Sacrament of Initiation strengthening the individual’s bond with the Church and bestows the Holy Spirit.
