Faith in Action

As part of an Augustinian Catholic community, Ritamen are called to actively live their Christian identity serving those most marginalized. St. Rita enables and encourages Ritamen to share their lives with others in a variety of ways, including:

  • Regular trips to local shelters/food pantries to assist with the distribution of food and clothing

  • Voluntary collections that annually raise over $20,000 for various charities

  • Education about social justice issues, including programs designed to promote racial equity

  • Required service hours through our Reflective Outward Service Experience (R.O.S.E.)

    • 35 service hours required over 4 years

  • Integrating responsibility, respect, and tolerance as part of daily life at St. Rita

“In the 2024-25 school year, we totaled 4,350 service hours that were validated by an adult on site with over 67 different organizations. According to Helper Helper, we had an economic impact of $145,709.”

Helper Helper Service Partners

Helper Helper is our volunteer management platform that connects our Ritamen to meaningful experiences in the community and helps them track their service hours. Thank you to all of our current service partners that make these opportunities possible by welcoming our students, guiding them in their work, and inspiring them to live out our core values through service:

St. Rita High School demonstrates strong support for Special Olympics through both competitive participation and service. Our Unified Team partners with Southside Occupational Academy, competing in sports such as basketball, bocce ball, and bowling. Additionally, we volunteer at Special Olympics events including basketball tournaments, MedFest, and Snowshoe. Together, these efforts reflect our deep commitment to inclusion and community.
