Congratulations Mike Kafka ‘05
Mustang pride runs deep! Congratulations to Ritaman Mike Kafka '05 on being named the interim head coach for the New York Giants.
Mike graduated from St. Rita in 2005. He continued his football playing career at Northwestern University, advancing to multiple NFL teams starting from the Philadelphia Eagles in 2010, ending with the Cincinnati Bengals in 2015. In 2016, he started his coaching career at Northwestern University. He went to the Kansas City Chiefs (2017-2021) becoming a Superbowl Champion (LIV). He was welcomed into the New York Giants in 2022, where he currently holds the position of the New York Giants interim Head Coach.
Kafka was inducted into the St. Rita Hall of Fame in 2020 and then in the Chicago Catholic League Hall of Fame in 2022.
