Coach Nee graduated from St. Rita in 1993 where he was an all-Catholic League and all-area baseball

and football player. He attended St. Francis University in Joliet lettering four years in football and two

years in baseball for the Fighting Saints. He joined the varsity baseball staff at St. Rita in 1998 as an

assistant before taking over as head coach in the summer of 2017. In his tenure as head coach, he has

led the Mustangs to 2 CCL Blue titles (2019, 2021), 4 regional championships (2018, 2019, 2023, 2024) a

sectional championship (2019) and a 3 rd place finish in the Class 4A state playoffs in 2019. He also led St.

Rita to their 4 th Summer State Championship in 2017. Coach Nee has also coached varsity football at St.

Rita since 1998, serving as the varsity offensive line coach until 2022 when he was promoted to varsity

offensive coordinator by head coach Martin Hopkins.
