Inside the Classroom: May Academics Recap
Each month, we highlight the engaging lessons and dynamic classroom experiences shaping our Ritamen. Through hands-on activities and academic exploration, these moments capture how our Ritamen are challenged and inspired in the classroom. This month’s recap features our dual credit course, Introduction to Business, in partnership with St. Xavier University as well as Mr. Tellez’s 3D Animation, Fundamentals of Gaming, and Technology classes.
Introduction to Business
Throughout each school year, we offer a dual credit course with St. Xavier University allowing Ritamen to take college courses while in high school. Here, students earn credits that will be applied to students’ high school graduation requirements and in most cases, are transferable to other colleges and universities. As a final project for this course, our Ritamen formed groups to create and present a new product to our St. Rita Family similar to the tv show Shark Tank. This year’s products included:
Hot Box: Nick Bubacz, Will Loehr, Logan Shields, and Timmy Swanson
Peaceful Wake: Danny Foster, Jack Jania, Andrew Stodolny, and Mitch Street
Recovery Sleeve: Daniel Camacho, Julian Moreno, Raul Romero, and Joaquin Torres
Toolhub: Matt Hallberg, Ryan Jones, Aiden Mendez, and Greg Zaber
This was a great opportunity for our Ritamen to apply their entrepreneurial and creative thinking skills they learned throughout the course.
2D and 3D Animation
As a final project in Mr. Tellez’s 2D and 3D Animation class, our Ritamen created their own videos, showcasing their creativity through the skills and knowledge they gained in manipulating Adobe After Effects.
