St. Rita of Cascia High School Announces New Admissions Coordinator and Assistant Head Wrestling Coach

CHICAGO — Deacon John Donahue, J.D., Ed.D., President of St. Rita High School, announces Mike Leveille as Admissions Coordinator and Assistant Head Coach of the St. Rita Wrestling Program.

“A former Division I wrestler at Purdue University and new graduate, Mike brings so much energy to St. Rita — both in the Admissions Department and the Wrestling Program.” Deacon John shared. “His background on the wrestling mat, as a coach, and in the classroom make him the right person to fill both of these roles.”

Mike grew up in the St. Christina Parish and attended Mt. Greenwood Elementary. He went to high school at Marist High School (2019), where he was a 4-year varsity wrestler and a 2x IHSA 3A state place winner.

After high school, Mike earned a scholarship to Purdue University for wrestling. While at Purdue, Leveille wrestled for 5 years — receiving an Academic All B1G award (2021, 2022, 2023, 2024).

He received his Bachelor of Arts in Education in May 2024. After graduation, he began teaching ELA for 6 th -8 th grade at St. Barnabas in Beverly. For the last year, Mike has assisted Head Coach Ryan Klinger ’03 with for the St. Rita Wrestling Program. Klinger took over the program last July and heads into his second season leading the program.

“After coaching for one year here, I became attached to the culture and built great relationships with people in the St. Rita community,” Mike said. “Now as the new Admissions Coordinator, I will continue to build those relationships by demonstrating the Augustinian core values throughout neighborhoods, to show what it is like to be a Ritaman.”
