Our Campus

Our students take advantage of our beautiful facilities, which are among the best in the state of Illinois.

St. Rita of Cascia High School is a 100% College Preparatory curriculum. St. Rita offers several rigorous programs of study which prepare students for the next step in their educational development. The courses in these programs stretch students to grow in many ways. We also hope to inspire them with interesting and cutting-edge electives which promote post-secondary planning. Our students are placed in an academic program tailored to meet their needs.

St. Rita offers 14 sports, many of which have three levels (Freshmen, Sophomore/JV, Varsity) and we encourage multiple-sport athletes.  All sports (with the exception of bowling, golf, and hockey) participate on our 37-acre campus.

We enjoy a proud tradition of athletics and are a consistent contender in the Chicago Catholic League, Regional, Sectional, and IHSA state divisions in all sports.

Ritamen often go on to participate in athletics at the collegiate and professional level upon graduation from St. Rita.

The Campus Ministry Center encourages all members of the St. Rita Family to take an active role in our school faith community through a wide range of activities, including:

- Daily all school morning and afternoon prayers.
- Weekly Novena Prayers to St. Rita at the St. Rita of Cascia Shrine Chapel and Eucharistic Adoration.
- Bi-weekly All School Masses, including all Holy Days, as well as optional Daily Mass with the Augustinians before school.
- Active liturgical involvement for all students as Altar Servers, Hospitality Ministers, Lectors and Extraordinary Ministers of Communion.

Involvement at St. Rita is essential to the full development of each young man, and Student Life is designed to help each Ritaman find their niche in some way. In the 2019-20 school year, 93% of students were involved in at least one club, activity, or sports team, making their time at St. Rita High School more than a bell-to-bell day.

The campus really comes to life after the last bell has rung, with the clubs, student organizations, activities, and sports teams kicking off their meetings and practices.

Our facilities include the McCarthy Student Center and our 375 seat auditorium for theatre performances and the St. Rita band concerts.
