Entrance Exam
Class of 2028 Entrance Exam:
Saturday, December 2, 2023 / 8AM
Pre-registration will begin on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at 8:00 a.m.
8th grade students who take the entrance exam at St. Rita are eligible to apply for scholarship opportunities. Please note that students may only take the entrance exam at one Catholic high school.
Study guides for this exam may be found online or at local bookstores. Be sure the study guide includes the High School Placement Test (HSPT) entrance exam.
The results of the HSPT as well as 7th and 8th grade grammar school records are criteria used for decisions regarding acceptance and placement.
On the day of the exam students should bring:
No. 2 pencils
the $25 exam fee (check or cash).
Please note that calculators are NOT permitted.
Make-Up Exam
If your student did not take the HSPT at another Catholic school on December 2, they will be able to take the make-up exam on Saturday, December 9, 2023 or Saturday, December 16, 2023. Please note, students may only take an entrance exam at one Catholic high school.
Testing Accommodations
If you have an IEP, CIEP, or 504 Plan this should be forwarded to our Director of Admissions Mr. Bill Heaney ‘05 at bheaney@stritahs.com by Monday, November 27 as these documents will be used to determine test accommodations.
