2026 St. Rita Hall of Fame Inductee: Nick LoMaglio ‘04

We are honored to induct Nick LoMaglio ‘04 into the St. Rita Hall of Fame at our 89th Annual Alumni Banquet & Hall of Fame Dinner.

Nick was born and raised in the Beverly neighborhood by his parents, Paul and Nancy LoMaglio, and attended Sutherland Elementary School. Nick chose to attend St. Rita in large part due to Hall of Fame football coaches, Jack Quinn, Gene Schaller, and Todd Kuska. Nick’s brother Joe ‘06 would follow in his footsteps and his father Paul would later be named an Honorary Alumnus.

At St. Rita, Nick distinguished himself as a leader in the classroom, through service, and in athletics. He served as Treasurer in Student Government, was a member of the National Honor Society, and an Augustinian Peer Minister. Athletically, he was a two-sport standout serving as a captain on the varsity football team and a three-year captain on the volleyball team. A varsity contributor all four years in volleyball, he helped lead the program to three consecutive downstate appearances and earned  All-CCL honors. Nick was also recognized as a finalist for the Wendy’s High School Heisman Award. Fr. Bernie Danber, O.S.A., Fr. Tom McCarthy, O.S.A., Coach Nee, and Jill Nagel were instrumental in shaping Nick during his years at St. Rita.

After graduating St. Rita, Nick attended the University of Dayton, where he majored in Finance and met his wife, Ashley. He continued his athletic career as a four-year starter on the men’s volleyball team, which was the #1 club team in the country.

Nick began his professional career with UBS Financial Services, interning during college and joining full-time in 2008 at the height of the global financial crisis. He built a long-standing career at the firm, where he now manages approximately $1.2 billion in assets for individuals and families. Recognized as one of Illinois’ top “next generation” financial advisors, he has also been featured in Forbes for his work.

In 2013, with the help of Dave Conrath, he co-founded Advice Beyond the Classroom. Advice Beyond the Classroom is dedicated to preparing students for life beyond school. What began with just three students has grown into a program serving over 200 students annually across four schools, with more than 1,100 alumni to date.

He has continued to give back to St. Rita in meaningful ways, serving on its Board of Directors, contributing to the endowment committee, and currently chairing The Caritas Gala Valentine Dinner Dance.

Today, he lives with his wife Ashley and their four children in Beverly, where they are active members of St. Barnabas Parish.

The reason Nick gives back is because there were many men before him that shaped St. Rita into what it is today. He believes it is our duty as the next generation to keep the lights on and not let the school fall on our watch.

Join us in celebrating Nick, along with our renowned Hall of Fame inductees and anniversary classes, at our 89th Annual Alumni Banquet & Hall of Fame Dinner on Friday, April 17! You must purchase your tickets before Monday, April 13. Buy your tickets here!
