Mini Mustang & Camp Swoosh Bundle (3rd & 4th Grade)

Camp Swoosh
Camp Swoosh – named for its coordinator — and longtime St. Rita coach and faculty member — Mr. Jay “Jaybird” Standring (HON) — is a day camp designed to provide instruction in a wide variety of recreational and athletic activities. Over the last 20 years, this camp has become a rite of passage for many Southside families. The tradition of Camp Swoosh is strong and provides an opportunity for families to provide their kids with a summer experience spent playing and socializing away from their computer screens.

Activities include baseball, softball, basketball, soccer, football, dodgeball, spikeball, swimming, ping pong, and foosball, among many more.

Please have your child bring the following:

• Bagged lunch

• Athletic clothing (shorts, t-shirt, etc.)

• Water bottle

• Swimsuit (we do use the pool at the Camp Swoosh)

• Towel

• Hat and/or sunscreen (parts of the camp will be outside)

Please note: We will have a lifeguard and supervision in the pool at all times and will only use the shallow-end of the pool.

Mini Mustangs
Mini Mustangs is a co-ed activity camp that gives kids the chance to play, explore, and create across our 37-acre campus. Each day, campers will learn new games and activities — both inside and outside — from scavenger hunts to water balloon tosses to story time. Led by Admissions Coordinator Tony Munzing ’16 (former elementary school educator and Oak Lawn Park District Camp Site Director), our faculty and camp counselors’ goal is to kick off summer in a fun way while making new friends and exploring the St. Rita campus.

On Wednesday, June 26, campers will also get to attend a Windy City Thunderbolts game.

Please have your child bring the following:

• Snack

• Athletic clothing (shorts, t-shirt, etc.)

• Water bottle

• Swimsuit for outdoor water activities, not for the pool

• Towel

• Hat and/or sunscreen (parts of the camp will be outside)
